Advise James to allow Parliament to discuss the projected Spanish Match or intervention in the continental war. If he allowed the parliament instead of banning them he wouldn’t have been greatly displeased when the commons presumed to do so. James had 2 sons, Charles and Henry, Henry was preferred as he was much more athletic and well spoken whereas Charles had polio as a child and so had deformed legs, and had a stutter so wouldn't be able to speak properly. But Henry died, due to swimming in the Thames, leaving him with dysentery. Charles became the next heir, but they wondered if he was up to it. The king even contemplating naming his daughter as his heir, instead of him. Then, over his teenage years, Charles really grew up and became much more suitable to the role of being King. It was decided that he would marry the Spanish Infanta, a daughter of the Hapsburgs, a highly important Spanish family. 
Negotiations took place for Charles to marry between 1614 and 1623. There was many reasons for Charles to marry in connection to the Hapsburgs; Money, Peace but also to restore the Palatinate. As Spain, and the Hapsburgs were strongly Catholics, this decision was deeply controversial in England, and didn't really link to James' previous decisions towards Catholics. But Spain was a major superpower at the time, and England would to anything to not upset them, so made compromises and concessions with Spain.
England's loyalty was shown with Walter Raleigh's execution after he set fire to some Spanish colonys, after being told not to get in any fights with the Spanish.
Even with the major disagreement in England, Charles and 1 Advisor decided to go to Madrid and arrange His and the Spanish Infanta. they travelled in disguise to not alert anyone that they were going. They were soon held captive and forced to convert religion and agree to many things for her hand in marriage. James told them to agree to everything, purely for their safety, and they escaped, just before they left for England, Charles called off the whole marriage to make all the agreements nul.
