It was great to attend this evening to understand the scope of BYOD learning , and be able to sound out perceived issues. I'd like to understand how KNS is actively monitoring and implementing the pros/cons of device based learning in current research studies. I worry about certain health outcomes from posture, proximity of EMR with wifi etc.
Handwriting is also a concern of mine.I was taught cursive writing in Yr7 equivalent and have read studies about it's long term benefits for example.

In fact many studies suggest negative outcomes. For example the following are studies from the last two-three years. An OECD study of 15 year olds showed that computer users had significantly lower academic acheivement. A study of reading ability and comprehension when reading from devices compared to screens showed a significant deficit in screen readers.
