She is currently the Minister for the Environment and Green State Vision, for the Provisional Government of West Papua and has been hunted down and forced into hiding for her role in protecting Papua.

Aunty Ama was one of the Polynesian Panthers in Aotearoa NZ, and helped to organize and mobilize folks to address racism, homelessness, and other issues that Maori and Pasifika folks were facing. She was an amazing leader that doesn't often get highlighted as a PPP member.

ʻOfa Mann was the founder of TOFA Sacramento, and was a pillar of the Pacific Islander community in Sacramento and beyond. She created the spaces for me to learn Tongan culture and language as a teenager growing up in Sacramento. She always had a deep sense of humor, resilience, and grace, and encouraged everyone to remember our pasts, practice Tongan culture, and work toward generative futures. She passed last year, in the summer of 2021. It was because of her that I had a grounding in understanding what it means to serve community and celebrate Tongan culture.

Aaradhna Jayantilal Patel, better known by her stage name Aaradhna, is a New Zealand singer, songwriter, musical recording artist. I listened to her growing up doing feaus, party functions, and during leisure time. I honor her as one of the best Pasifika women artists in my book. My favorite song from her is “Forever Love” and I can honestly listen her all day. I love that she represents her Samoan and Indian cultures, as a biracial individual. Truly inspiring figure in the music industry and would love to meet her one day.
