GMOs have been very beneficial to the economy and sustainability of third world countries, helping them take a step up in the world and become self-sufficient. 

The article I found this information in is very reliable. It is a Cambridge Scholar website with articles written by scholars about GMOs. It was very professionally written article that was straight to the point and easy to follow.
