Even though I missed most of your lesson.. :( Really good idea using M & Ms to teach statistics and probability concepts. I liked how you students first predict vocab, then return to the vocab to clarify at the end of the lesson. I still have some questions on expected value. Not sure how to make this lesson better, nice job!

This lesson was hands-on and included candy! You both did a great job relating probability and statistics both by making explicit connections and allowing us to ponder these connections on our own.
I do not have any questions.
One thing that could be changed is adding different kinds of M&Ms (regular, caramel, peanut butter...). :)

The lesson went really well. I liked the food example with the M&Ms; I thought it was really engaging. I also liked the emphasis throughout the lesson on vocabulary - that'll be really helpful for students. I can't think of anything to improve the lesson, because I really liked the balance between hands on interaction and use of technology. Great job, girlys!! :)

I think that the lesson was very engaging. It was something that spiked my interest because it was an idea that I have always wondered. I think that using candy was engaging too! I also liked how you had us come up with the definition before hand, reviewed it, and then compared it to the books. This was a very good way to get the definition installed in people's brains. I think that it would have been better with peanut butter M&M's ;) super fun and great lesson friends!! :)
