When we started flipping our bottles, we immediately saw that the results of the bottle with the hydrogen peroxide weren’t quite meeting our expectations. Often, the bottle with peroxide either only landed a few times, or it didn’t land at all. As soon as we tried the water, though, our results improved rapidly and we had at least 3 bottles land per round.

In the end, we proved our hypothesis wrong. Initially, we thought that, since hydrogen peroxide is denser than water, it would have better results in bottle flipping, but it turned out that even though water is less dense, it flips better. To revise the experiment, we would probably change the bottles that we used. We used Propel water bottles in our first revision, but, because they had rounded bases, they landed less often than they would have otherwise. We observed other groups’ bottles, and Sam and I found that the best bottles for flipping had wide and flat bases.
