         <description><![CDATA[<div>This article is very informative and includes a lot of information that can lead to not a only a diagnosis, but also what steps to take after you get a diagnosis.This article defines what ADHD is, it talks about the signs and symptoms of ADHD and how they fall into the different types of AHD. It then talks about what to do with managing symptoms and what treatment plans are available once you get a diagnosis. "ADHD is one of the most common <em>neurodevelopmental</em> disorders of childhood. It is usually first diagnosed in childhood and often lasts into adulthood. Children with ADHD may have trouble paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviors (may act without thinking about what the result will be), or be overly active." This source is important because it can help individuals get a diagnoses of ADHD&nbsp;and how to support themselves with either therapy or certain medications. </div>]]></description>

It discusses how ADHD affects students in the classroom, for example how ADHD affects executive functioning. This source is important because it discusses the difference between an IEP and a 504 Plan, specific accommodations that can be beneficial for those who have ADHD and it also has an overview on the disability category it falls into which is important when getting an IEP. When she got older and realized she had ADHD she noticed there was not resources for people with ADHD to understand what their brain was doing. McCabe talks about how more people are being diagnosed with ADHD and that is because were beginning to understand what ADHD really is and how that truly impacts people lives.
