I am A recent graduate with an A.S in Hospitality and Tourism with a concentration in Hospitality Operations Management from Kapiolani Community College actively seeking employment at a Hotel and Resort in the Human Resources Department Here in Hawaii.

Kokua - Helping others

Helping people is something I do, whether it's at work at school or around town. Helping not only makes me feel good but it makes other people feel good too.
At school I have run in to students who are lost and if I know where a certain building is I will give them directions or if I have time I will show them the way. If I don't know I will help them find someone who does.
I help my neighbors with their bags, or run errands for them since some of them are elderly. I even cook on occasion for one of them and he is always bringing me treats.
At work I will also go out of my way to help in anyway I can with either a guest or a coworker.

Laulima - Many hands working together

I remember when I first started working for a restaurant as a server, I was taught to take care of the guests seated in my section and I did well but it didn't seem like it was enough. When I transitioned to a new restaurant I saw a new approach called team work. If another server was busy and an order for their table needed to be taken out anyone who had the time would take the food to the table so the guests could have their meal hot and on time, or if I was serving water or coffee I would serve it to all the tables not just mine and the other servers would do the same and working together we achieved a common goal which is to serve our guests with friendliness in a timely manner and to make sure they were happy.

Po'okela - Excellence, always striving

In life I am always striving to do my best, not just doing the bare minimum.
I was assigned a project that I knew would be fairly easy to do just the basics, but instead I made an extra effort to make it the best I could do. I did a lot of research and put some creativity into it.
