The LTCs will lead a discussion with the FTs using the SOAR framework to review the Big Rocks of the Level as well as what can be improved in 2024. The responses will be captured under the respective levels by LTCs. Please use a separate post for each of the domains (S.O.A.R.).

Semester 2 Level Review

Strengths:

Lockdown drill was effective as students were moving in an orderly manner. They enjoyed the experience and were well-behaved.

Opportunities:

Students found the games boring and wanted to return to class early. Could it be possible to do stations on rotation or more hands-on activities such as inter-class competitions?

Aspirations:

More opportunities for FT and students to foster TSR

Frozen good exposure for the kids, fun and enjoyable for teachers as well
SIR - well structured, games for class to enjoy/bond
Code 4 fun - enjoyable for students
Having field trips/LJ as a covid batch is good for the students/level
Good timeline for HDP remarks/ PQ submission
LTC - reminders for FTGP was helpful

Opportunities

Talking desks - end up getting destroyed, dangerous (sharp)
SS learning journey too near exams
SIR - timetable suspended for partial day, causing some teachers to lose their free periods.
PTM - need to have schedule for MT teachers instead of walk-in arrangement
children's day - free play too many safety concerns

Aspiration

Talking desks - follow up/ revisit each term
Level VIA - to be more structured
More free FTGP time (not for CCE FTGP lessons)
Less last minute notices - eg. "go through these slides by tomorrow", "give out paper tomorrow", "key in items analysis by today", etc. Timeline should always be planned and shared early (at least 1 week in advance)

Semester 1 Level Review

Strengths:

The students enjoyed the zoo trip as it was their 1st learning journey.

PTM was beneficial for teachers to introduce themselves and share our expectations.

Opportunities:

Simplify the SPTC booklet to express gratitude to parents.

The date should not be during the fasting month.

SPTC would be better if both days were face-to-face.

Teachers are not sure where to find the referral form for students with potential needs.

Aspirations:

We can make a difference by understanding the different strategies to help the students.

Results:

We want to observe our students embody the school values through their actions.
