I think Missouri compromise is important because it was about making balance between slave state and free states which the 36 , 30 line .

So when Missouri asked to join the states , he wanted to joins them as a slave states but the north did not agree with this because it will give more power to the south to keep going with slavery . But economically the south depended on farming in slaves unlike the north had factories . It called compromise because Maine will join the the south as a free state and Missouri as a slave states to equal balance .

i choice dred Scott decision because an enslaved man and abolitionist who had lived with is owner in free and wanted to be declared free. But politically the supreme court say that :

Dred Scott was not citizen , so he could not use in court .

slaves were property and they don't have natural right .

Dred Scott was very disappointed because he hoped court would recognize his freedom.

I choice to talk about this event because socially this event resulted to in violence as both pro-slavery and anti-slavery activists rushed into Kansas to sway the vote.It also led to a period of bloody conflict and it make the abolitionist more active in the north because of the agressive act .

This led to social unrest, formation of militias, and a culture of suspicion and conflict.

I decided to talk about the industrial and technological superiority of the North because it was a great advantage in winning the war. Economically, the North had industries that allowed them to manufacture cotton, textiles, and the industry that allowed people to have jobs. And technologically, with the telegraph that allowed the North to communicate more quickly, such as giving important information. The railroad that allowed soldiers to move more quickly. But what made this war deadly was the miniballs, 8 times faster than what the South used.

I choice this event because socially it changed te society by giving freedom to enslaved African Americans and allowing many to join the Union army and this is one of the most important things .It also began shifting public opinion in the North toward ending slavery completely. And politically Lincoln used his power as Commander-in-Chief to issue it as a war measure. It strengthened the Union's moral cause and discouraged European countries (like Britain and France) from supporting the Confederacy.

3: The destruction of the southern economy in ( 1861-1869)

I think the destruction of the southern economic is a good debate because economically it show the war not only ended slavery but also left the south poor. For example southern economy was based on cotton and tobacco. Which relied on enslaved labor . And when the war started, many plantations were destroyed, slaves were freed, and trade with other countries stopped. Without money, supplies, or workers, the South could no longer support its army. This economic collapse made it impossible for the Confederacy to keep fighting and led to their defeat.

I think the creation of the Black Codes is an interesting event because Socially, the Black Codes limited the freedom of African Americans after slavery ended.

They were not allowed to vote, travel freely, or get good jobs.

Politically, these laws helped white leaders keep control in the South.

The Freedmen’s Bureau was created after the Civil War to help freed African Americans and poor white people in the South. It provided food, schools, and medical care, and helped people find jobs and land. I think it was socially and educationally important because it helped many former slaves learn to read and build a better future. Even if the Bureau didn’t last long, it showed that the government tried to protect and support African Americans during Reconstruction.

I think the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments were very important, especially for social and political reasons.

Socially, they changed people’s lives because slavery ended and African Americans could finally live as free people. Families could stay together, and people started to build new communities.

Politically, these amendments gave African Americans new rights like citizenship and the right to vote. That was a big step for equality and justice.

Even if racism still existed, the amendments helped the country move toward freedom for everyone.

For me, one big impact of Reconstruction was the rise of the Ku Klux Klan.

Socially, the KKK created fear and violence toward African Americans who tried to use their new rights.

They wanted to keep Black people from voting or getting jobs with power.

Politically, the KKK tried to stop Reconstruction governments and help white Southerners take control again.

I think this was a failure of Reconstruction because it showed that freedom did not mean equality.

Even if slavery ended, racism and hate were still strong in the South.
