         <description><![CDATA[<div>Give two examples of deductions an employer can make from your paycheck.<br><br>An employer can legally make deductions from wages for reasons required by law that apply to long term jobs by law, some examples being deductions due to income tax, for Employment insurance (EI), and to set aside funds for a Canadian pension plan (CPP). Other deductions may only be made if the employee agrees in a formal written contract.<br><br></div><div>An employee cannot have their pay deducted to account for shortcomings on the manager's, cash shortages, breakage, damage to company property or lose part of their wage if a customer doesn't pay. <br><br></div>]]></description>
