The position that the travel agency assigned to me is a customer service assistant.

- It is the daily routine of all staff at In Saff Travel & Tours to start their morning with a recite of the 'HM' which is Hisnul Muslim and followed by a little morning tzakirah to motivate the workers.
- After the end of the tzkirah session it is time for the session to be introduce with all staff working at the travel agency.

- After the intoduction session ends, I am given a file containing all the packages offered by the agency to clients or prospective pilgrims. This has allowed me to find out what packages are often offered and can further my knowledge.

- After reviewing the packages offered, I was assigned to fill out a receipt form received from a customer using In Saff Travel & Tours.

- From 1 to 2 o'clock is lunch time for all staff. This time I use my best for lunch and Zuhur prayers.

- After lunch, I resumed my assignment to fill out a document receipt form that had not been entered. There are 34 customer’s name that I need to include in the document receipt form.

- The work hours are over at 5:30 pm and I am allowed to go home by my supervisor, Haji Mohd Nazri bin Omar.

Summary: 
  • As I had learned at the university, there are a lot of marketing tools in promoting our products to customers and In Saff Travel uses social media such as Facebook, Instagram, direct selling, retailer to customers, agents and others in promoting their travel packages. The difficulty I had face is I need to know and remember the whole travel packages in order to promote and to convince customers.

  • The theory I learned about Industry Revolution 4.0 at university was that I could see while undergoing industry training here that the use of the latest technology is increasingly being used. The difficulty I had in completing the assignment was to make sure all scanned documents were crystal clear and not fuzzy and to ensure that all submitted documents were in the system.

  •  The itinerary of the pilgrims needs to be well organized to be more systematic and to minimize costs. The challenges I have in doing assignments is to review every document submitted by the congregation and to make sure the dates and packages are right.

Summary :
  •  The process of communication that I learned is that it gives from the sender to the receiver and also influenced by the noise. The noisy environment can affect the communication process itself. The challenges I have today is that I need to make sure that every detail of the customer's information is correct and i need to know the price difference for Umrah visas and tourist visas.

  • Throughout my studies in tourism, I have come to know that every country has its own policy in the tourism industry and the use of visas is common to pilgrims. However, there are some countries like Korea that allow tourists to enter their country without the need for a visa such as tourists from China. The challenge I often face in completing assignments is that I need to research individual passports for pilgrims to make sure it have in travel agency data storage.
