This method of popular sovereignty is not very smart because each state that is being voted for, their will be people flooding the states  to vote for what they believe would be best; rather the state is a  free or slave state.</div>]]></description>

This could make tensions rise between pro-slaver people and non-slavery people because the Mexican cession, now open to popular sovereignty. The reason why this is something to argue is because many people believed that any states northern of the Missouri compromise line would be slave territory and southern of the line there would be free states. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>On May 21, 1856, over 700 pro-slavery “border ruffians” attacked the anti-slavery town of Lawrence. They burned down the hotel, looted homes, and destroyed the printing presses.&nbsp;And on May 23, 1856, John Brown, enraged by the attack on Lawrence, invaded the nearby pro-slavery town of Pottawattamie. In the dark of night, he and four of his sons dragged 5 pro-slavery men from their beds and hacked them apart with swords. This was terrible event for America, and although there was not a lot of casualties, it shows how strongly people believe in rather slaver shall be ban or allowed.  This was another reason in getting closer to the resolution war because people are already hurting each other over the argument.  </div>]]></description>
