It taught us that we are all part of a family unit, we all look different, and it helped reinforce spatial awareness of our faces.  Next year we plan to incorporate a mirror.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After reading, <em>Jack's Talent</em>, by Maryann- Cocca-Leffler, students brainstormed talents that they possess. We also talked about drawing a self-portrait and adding detail to our drawing. Students worked during a center on an illustration depicting one of their talents. Using more than one color and drawing items that may be needed for their talent were encouraged.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Children learn best through doing.  Music uses lots of regions in the brain. Wanting to involve the brain in learning library vocabulary we adapted a well known song to the definition of library terms.  The music serves as a memory aid for this important terminology.</div>]]></description>

We used vinegar and baking soda to experiment with&nbsp;mixing colors and observe&nbsp;how the materials react with one another. This experiment&nbsp;emphasizes the 3&nbsp;primary colors and how they can mix to create secondary colors. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Pebbles have been learning about their bodies and Mat Man.&nbsp;<br>They used long lines to tap to the beat of the music.&nbsp; During this activity they practiced social referencing, keeping a rhythm, and executive functioning as they kept their eyes on Ms. Kelsey to start and stop tapping.</div>]]></description>
