From my point of view digital skills are a good mix of different abilities related to the use of internet for different purposes. This mix is continually evolving and changing very fast so fast that it's difficult to give a lasting definition

technology is not going to make teaching easier, it's going to make it different.
I agree with this statement, I live it every day when I try to use devices at school (IWBs, notebooks, Internet) and they don't work properly due to a lack of maintenance or break down for connection problems. It makes my work more difficult but I insist because I think my pupils need to acquire 21st century skills and no problem can interrupt this process

2.1.a. Searching the Internet - types of search engines

I can't believe there are so many search engines!!
I knew just few of them. Usually I use Google and it's my favourite. I know Google uses me for data mining and it knows very well what I think and do!!! I try to inform my pupils that the web is not a safe place and what you post in it isn't your anymore
