         <description><![CDATA[<div>This picture is very realistic. We can see the sfumato technique, which consist in modifying colours in an attempt to simulate reality. We can see that  in the mona lisa they use the light and the shade to give volume and contrast to figures and objects. The picture have a different texture, so we can say that it was painted with oil paint, wich is more suitable for this effects and textures.</div>]]></description>

His works focused on the proportion and harmony of the human body.<br>Hans Holbein the Younger and Lucas Cranach the Elder, they supported Lutheranism and paint portraits of its founder.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Italian influence start in France at the end of the 15th century.<br>It was solidified during the reign of Francis I (1515-1547), a great humanism and patron of the arts. Many Italian artists, including Leonardo da Vinci, worked at his court.<br>What stands out most is the architecture, with new palaces and castles constructed, such us those at Chambord, Chenonceaux and Fontainebleau. They have classical façades and steep gabled roofs, topped with chimneys and dormers. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the 16th century Italian and Flemish influence, as well as Spanish artist who had travelled to Italy, introduced the new <br><strong><em><mark>PAINTING. EL GRECO<br></mark></em></strong>Spanish Renaissance artists were also concerned with light, colour and perspective, and they focus in religious themes. Valencia was the centre of artistic activity, and had strong Italian influences.<br>Domenikos Theotokópoulos (1541-1614), known as El Greco, was the genious of Spanish Renaissance painting. He travelled to Italy to learn from the Renaissance masters. He settled in Toledo in 1577 and produced very original masterpices. His work is know for its vivid pigmention, with reddish and bluish tones, and contrast of light. He produces complex compesitions, with elongated figures that give the idea of the spirituality. His most famous painting are The Burial of the Count of Orgaz, The Disrobingof Christ and The Nobleman with his Hand on his Chest.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><em><mark>ARCHITECTURE<br></mark></em></strong>Spanish Renaissance architecture began in the beginning of the 16th century and was developed in three stages:<br>-The <strong>Plateresque</strong> style introduced new decorative elements to Gothic buildings. Its name comes from the use of reliefs, reminiscent of the work of silversmiths.<br>-The<strong> Classical </strong>style was modelled on classical architecture (collums, lintels and gables).<br>-The <strong>Herrerian</strong> style was characterised by its lack of ornamentation, strightlines and cubic volumes </div>]]></description>
