Many of these excerpts analyze how the horror genre is deemed scary due to specific characteristics that are clearly evident in fairy tales. Through these characteristics it is evident that both fairy tales and horror deals with similar content and the main difference lays in how they are presented to audiences. It is very easy to find how horror has evolved in film and how fairy tales have evolved in film separately. However, I wish to look at how these two genres have evolved in film together and the reasoning behind making fairy tales scary. I am hoping to take out the book entitled 'Fairytale and gothic horror : uncanny transformations in film' from Scott Library.
