         <description><![CDATA[<div>The 12 tables influenced our government in many ways. One way is stating basic law. They did so in table 8. They also enforce trial by jury in multiple tables.&nbsp;The Twelve Tables also had on our government is that it gave the Founding Fathers the idea of trial,&nbsp; and punishment of crime. An example is the Bill Of Rights which tell what is legal and illegal, and what punishments are for different crime, and acknowledge rights of individuals in the community.</div>]]></description>
