Initial care-Wash gently with soap and water, air dry wound, or pat gently with clean towel before applying bandage

Post care-use a saline solution or soapy water with mild heat and gently clean and dab the cloth onto the wound

How to recognize-Their are 3 stages of healing and incision wound 1.swelling that forms in the area of cut and blood cots to keep from bleeding out 2.Rebuilding and this is when a scar starts to form weeks and the cut and swelling has went through its phases 3.Remodeling and this when your wound has fully repaired itself and is trying to make itself look and form back into its normal way

initial care-Wash the wound with clean water 2 times a day and a clean gauze or bandage

post care-Apply a thin layer of an antibiotic cream or ointment for the first two days and the rewash and reapply cream when you change the dressing

universal precautions needed-wear gloves during process of applying cream and dressings

How to recognize- the opening of the skin is small and the puncture wound may not bleed much
