The Labour and Worker's Rights movements was spurred by many issues such as low wages, dangerous conditions, long hours. This spurred and started the need for fair wages, less exploitative practices by the companies, safe work places, the dissolution of Child labour and the right to organize into a union for example this lead to the start of one of the first unions known as Knights Of Labour(founded in Dec 28, 1869) who represented all workers regardless of craft or if you were skilled or unskilled but with time it disbanded due to infighting and other issues. The other union that came about was known as the American Federation of Labour (AFL founded in Dec 8, 1886). Both of these unions had their own goals in what they wanted to address but in the end the both wanted as stated above the same goals, while the KOL was formed by farmers who felt they were cheated by railroad companies and the AFL was started by skilled workers who wished for a better chance at actually. living life

Samuel Gompers founded the American Federation of Labour(AFL). He organized strikes effectively, gave the workers a common goals to work for, and wanted workers and companies to be able to work with each other in order for them both to be successful. He lays out the blueprint for many new unions in the strategy's he employed in order for the workers to gain the most benefits.

While it did have some limits the Labour and Worker rights have very much changed the modern world nowadays, many have better hours and a much livable wage then back then along with benefits and other safeties guaranteeing even with injury they will be able to live.

The Labour and Worker Right's movements have impacted the modern world very much nowadays, many unions still exist and still fight for workers representation just for example, the dockyard strikes that happened recently across the country in order for better pay. Many of these worker rights and unions also impact politics because blue collar workers and people who work in jobs that have very hard labour in a sort have tried to make unions and often more then not politicians try to appetize themselves to workers by appealing to the unions and such.
