I was in awe of George's garden today. The vast size of it, what he grew and how he maintained all of that land. It was such an amazing experience walking around and looking at all of the different plants and trees. Going up to the garden house was something completely different to what I experience back home. Today the only way up to the garden house was by climbing a ladder! The music lesson today was fantastic! The way they all express themselves freely through music amazes me. Being British, we are quite reserved in comparison. I loved the way they communicate through song and dance and through the beat of the drum. Another fantastic day in Guadeloupe!

How often do weget to have fun like we did today.A collective joy in a great setting. I loved the free spirits of our hosts and the passion with which they led us. Thank you Rita for that story relating to your musical instrument. So true both objects and people have a story to tell , all you need to do is ask the questions. An amazing setting and a truly inspirational experience. I need a maraca.

Thought for the day ...................

" Engagement is everything.”

Yesterday we were in a very beautiful garden with lot of different plants and fruittrees. It is amazing that you can pick up so many fruits straight from the garden. And that music session was so fantastic! In Finland we don't sing and dance so free and without pressure,at least it isn't that common. Very good experience!

It was really interesting to see how the plants of different fruits look; mango, avocado, passion fruit and many others. Now we also know the process behind the sugar cane juice. Highlight of the visit was the music session. Playing the drums, singing and dancing was something new for me, but I made it and I liked it. Great experience!

Music connected us all! You can’t explain the feeling to anyone who didn’t involve. The garden with all the different fruit was incrediable. Making a sugar cane to juice was one of the peak points for me.

The Day in the George's Garden! It was great. Colorful plants, hospitality of local people impressed me. We had the opportunity to communicate through music and dance with them. I think the traditional music is the most striking example of Guadeloupe's culture. And the first rain in Guadeloupe!

We visited the farmer's farm, where my dream came true - to see the growing baobab tree with your own eyes and admire its wonderful flowers. It was my dream after reading Antuan de send Egzuper's book, The Little Prince. " After that awaited an amazing drum lesson.
