         <title>Kispal Raul: Chapter 5-Chapter 6.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Chap. 5:<br>-Locations: the actions take place at Lucia's home.<br>-The characters that take part in this chapter are: Lucia, Ivette, Lucia's mother(Sonia), Lucia's dad(Fernando).<br>-Actions: In this chapter, Ivette went to Lucia's house after a week without them seeing each other.<br>There, Ivette told Lucia that Manuel wants Lucia to go to the dance.<br>Lucia asks her mother to let her go to the dance. Her mom allows her to go but in the middle of the conversation her father rushes in the house looking for a hammer. He scares both of them and then he explains why is he so angry and rushed. He explained that the government is confiscating any holdings of the people, especially anti-revolutionaries.<br>-What impressed me the most: I was impressed by the fact that even if Lucia's family is think's different than the other, Lucia still have friends and its wanted by other people.<br>-What shocked me the most: People can be so selfish and stingy to take the holdings of the other people.<br><br>Chap. 6:<br>-Locations: The actions take place on the way to the pharmacy and in the park.<br>-Characters: Lucia, Laura Milian, Lucia's mother(Sonia), Senora Garra.<br>-Actions: In this chapter, Lucia is sent to the Pharmacy by her mom to buy some medicine for her and her brother, Frankie.<br>When she got to the Pharmacy, she told Senora Garra to give her a bottle of “Mademoiselle Pink polish” , and some “Children’s aspirin and camphor” , she pays and leaves. On the way back to her home, she meets Laura Milian, one of the popular girs from her school.<br>Laura asks Lucia to hang out but she refused because she only wants to hang out with her because her friends left her.<br>When Lucia says that she needs to go home, Laura tells her not to go down&nbsp;</div><div>Central Avenue, because its full of soliders.<br>She leaves and on the way she was thinking of Manuel, without being careful where she is going, and she went right down the Central Avenue.<br>&nbsp;She remembers Laura's words and runs to the flowered park entrance, where she sees Doc Machado, the Pharmacy owner, hung up on a tree. She drops the bottle of nail polish, shattering on the impact with the ground and leaving a red pool beside her leg.<br>-What impressed me the most: That Laura wants Lucia's friendship because she has no one left.<br>-What shocked me the most: They hung Doc Machado in a tree in a park.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Chap. 7:<br>-Locations: the actions take place in Lucia's room.<br>-The characters that take place are: Lucia, Frankie, Lucia's mother(Sonia), Lucia's father(Fernando).<br>&nbsp; -Actions: In this chapter, Lucia comes home from the Pharmacy and tells her mother what she just seen, while crying and struggling to speak because of how scared she was.<br>When her father comes home, Lucia tells him what happened, and her father tells her that he wishes she had not witness any of that. He also says that she needs to go to the dance because it is nothing to be scared.<br>-What impressed me the most: How Lucia's father(Fernando) is not afraid of the situation.<br><br>Chap. 8:<br>-Locations: the actions in this chapter are take place in Lucia's house.<br>-The characters are: Lucia, Lucia's mother(Sonia) and Ivette.<br>-Action: Lucia and Ivette are trying to find the best outfit and accesories, and Ivette is making her nails for the dance. Ivette is trying to make Lucia get her mom's jewlery for an unknown reason.<br>-What shocked you the most: Ivette is trying to get something from Lucia.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Chap. 1:<br>-Location: The action takes place on the beach and at Lucia's house<br>The characters that take part in this chapter are: Mama, Papa, Frankie and Lucia<br>-Action: In this chapter, Frankie and Lucia are at the beach without the care of the school, the schools being closed. At one point Lucia hears a loud noise considering it was a clear evening, she goes to see what is happening and where the noise come from, apparently there were some cars with the army of rebellion. After the cars left Lucia goes to gather her things from the beach and persuade Frankie to go home. When they got home where it was dark and very silence, Lucia&nbsp; called out Mama and Papa, without any answer they went to the kitchen where they caught Mama and Papa paying close attention to the radio. At the end of the chapter, Lucia hears the radio from the kitchen, where a reporter describes a very large gathering in the town square, hearing in the background"Socialism. . . or death"<br>-What shocked me the most was: What the reporter said and what Lucia heard in the background<br>Chap. 2:<br>-Location: The action takes place at Lucia's house<br>The characters that take part in this chapter are: Mama, Ivette Frankie and Lucia<br>-Action: In this chapter Lucia wakes up excited for a day with her best friend Ivette. Lucia and Frankie go down to the table where they are greeted only by Mama, telling them that the Papa was called to the bank sooner. The two children are asked by Mama to stay at home for a few days due to the many and recent changes in Cuba, the children revolted but eventually accepted her request.<br>-What impressed me the most was: How Frankie was told at school that everyone should be equal in an interesting way to attract children to the subject.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Chap. 3:<br>-Location:the action takes place at Lucia's high school and at her house<br>-The caracter that take part in this chapter are: Mama, Papa, Frankie and Lucia<br>-Action:In this chapter, Lucia and Frankie sneak out of the house, the streets being almost deserted, going to the school where Lucia studies. at school they saw 2 people tied behind their backs who were interrogated and then most likely shot, one of them being the boss of the bank where Lucia's father works. After returning home the two remain silent and at the same time agree not to discuss what they saw, Papa is greeted by Lucia, Frankie, and Mama, and then the children are sent to dinner. Ivette asks if Lucia is feeling better and at the same time tells her about Jóvenes Rebeldes.<br>-I was most shocked at:&nbsp; How people can be so rude and cold<br>Chap. 4:<br>-Location: the action take place at Lucia's house and little on the street</div><div>-The caracter that take part in this chapter are: Lucia, Frankie, Mama and Papa<br>-Action: In this chapter, the children go out for the first time after a few days, but with their mother, they go shopping. When they get home, Lucia realizes that the soldiers were on every street and street corner.After arriving home, Lucia tried to persuade her parents to let her go with Ivette to the Revolutionary meetings. Lucia's parents began to believe that it would be best to avoid Ivette's parents so as not to have anything to do with the revolution. Lucia quarrels with Papa, avoiding meeting him.<br>-What impressed me the most was: how the soldiers managed to stay hidden, being almost the only ones on the streets.<br><br></div>]]></description>
