1) In small groups of 3 to 4 students, make a unique animal relief collage using recycled materials found in your surroundings. Your collage work should showcase creativity and sustainability by transforming waste items into a simple yet expressive animal shape. Pay attention to the textures and colours of the materials to enhance the artistic depiction of your chosen animal. Record your process and final artwork, highlighting how your project raises environmental awareness through art. Take a photo and upload it to your class Padlet.

Instructions:

1. Divide your A4 size paper into three parts: Top, Middle, and Bottom. drawing the animal's head. Only the fourth student should repeat an animal.

2. Pass your paper to the next group member to draw the animal's body.

3. Continue drawing the legs or tail until everyone has completed their paper.

4. Complete your Exquisite Corpse illustrations in full colour using any colouring medium.

I feel like it was really fun and creative, and it got us thinking out of our boxes. I am quite surprised because the outcome turned out so cute!!

We felt that the exercise was really fast-paced and a bit stressful. However, it was overall fun, and our end result was so surprising! The final outcome was quite weird, but we did enjoy that rush of drawing it.

We feel like this exercise was quite fun and interesting as we did not know the result of our final project. However, we didn't really do our best because we were pressured by time and we had to rush a lot. But this helped us learn how to work faster and be more efficient with our time. Overall, we are quite satisfied with our final work and we are quite proud of ourselves.

It was very fun and slightly goofy because of the time constraints and constant swapping. We learnt the importance of teamwork.

We were pleasantly surprised that the head, body and legs somehow managed to fit together well, despite the many differences in shape and colour palette for each animal. WE LOVE OUR ELEBEE :)

We really liked this activity as it pressured us to draw and colour really fast, we managed to bond through this activity as each of us think differently and when we put it together, we realised how different and unique it turned out

Praise: I liked how you used yellow and black-coloured pipe cleaners to make people immediately recognise that 1 part of your artwork is a bee.
Question: Why do you think a squirrel, narwhal and bee have a strong symbolism for sustainability?

Polish: I think that there could be more features of the narwhal and squirrel in the artwork.

You all are quite creative and unique in the design of the animals (I wouldn't think of that) Your colouring was nice as their was almost no blank spot that was not coloured. Another thing is that you are very clear in terms of your presentation and clear on what you want to do.

A question I have is how you all came up with the animal as I'm sure you all have different ideas and opinions

I think that if you guys added more detailed features to the drawing, it would look nicer.
