For this project I used coils to create a bird pitcher. The hat is removable and underneath the beak is hollow to allow for functionality.

For this series, I started out with the big blue pot and with extra time, decided to add faces. The color scheme is modeled after the kids tv show The Doodlebops.

Template Projects (molds)

I created a series of three saucer style bowls. There is a small coil on the bottoms to help them stand and they're modeled after rice bowls. For the glazes, my base color was green and depending on the size of the bowls, the shade of green was different. The biggest bowl has the darkest shade and the smallest has the lightest. The varying sizes of the bowls also allows them to be stackable.

Template Project (paper)

I found a paper template online for mugs and decided to omit the mug handle and create cups. For the monsters, I used rubber stamps from the studio and different colored slips to color them in before glazing.

Identity Project

This project is meant to portray my life as an Irish dancer of color. I modeled my actual feel through the building process to be as accurate to real life as possible. I also created a template of my shoes to get the placement right. For glazing, I chose to use maple sugar, as I wanted the feet to have a darker color on them to portray my complexion.

Combo Project

For this project, I utilized a slab for the bottom of the bowl, which I then used a tray as a template to cut out a circle to my desired diameter. I used coils to build up the sides, and finally made a small pinch pot for the dip bowl. This piece was made with my parent's wedding anniversary in mind, so it features our family name along with the year they got married, painted on with acrylic.
