When I was nine years old, I experienced one of my best childhood memories at Juana Lainez Hill. I went with my parents and other relatives on a warm afternoon, which later became fresh thanks to the breeze. First, we sat in a quiet spot to eat. There weren’t any fast food stands at the time, just a few small local booths. That day, I tried one of the best baleadas I’ve ever eaten, accompanied by a maracuyá juice, and it was an unforgettable combination. Afterwards, we played in the park: I rode a bike, ran across the grass, and laughed a lot. There weren’t many people around just a few visitors so the atmosphere felt special. From the top, I could see all of Tegucigalpa and the landscapes that reached toward El Picacho. The air was fresh, and the sky was painted in different colors. Later on, we saw a group dancing a traditional Honduran danza. There was no noise, only music blending with nature. To sum up, spending time there was wonderful full of joy, family, and beauty.
