Differences:
Remote learning can allow students to participate more easily because the teacher is able to see everyone's hand raised through the function, and the teacher can address students in the order they raised their hand instead of one of them being accidentally ignored. This is more accommodating for student personalities. For example, the student does not have to be asked to speak up louder if they are soft-spoken. However, it takes more effort to build relationships outside of the classroom.

In person instruction allows for lots of interaction between teachers and students, both during lessons and outside of instruction. However, online instruction does not allow for this type of interaction, so it is harder for students and teachers to form connections.

Differences:
The management of student behaviors is more difficult for teachers in various ways. Teachers can not use the same management strategies over Zoom and have less control over students behaviors when they are in different physical locations. For example, students may not return to Zoom at appropriate times, engage in other activities while in class, or become distracted by people/things in their households.
