- About sir Mohan Lal, who saw himself as a high-class man, who tried to radiate an attitude like the English men. He acted like, he was one of them, and he left his wife in the poorer part of the train, which they were traveling with. He sat in the train, reading an English paper called "The Times", to show off his privileges. The truth is, that Mohan Lal isn't that special, and he gets dropped off the train by some English soldiers.

In this movie we meet the great Gandhi. He was a spokesperson for India's independence from the British. He was a very peaceful man, who believed that the way forward was not with violence but with peaceful demonstrations.
He had studied law in England, London which gave him a better knowledge of the English language. He first experienced racism on a train in South Africa, when he was riding in first class and was forced to downgrade because of his color. He started out a very shy man, but proceeded to become a man of very strong opinions.
People would come from all over India to hear Gandhi speak.
When Gandhi was murdered the whole world grieved the loss of such a great man.
