He was know for saying "squeeze 106 cents out of ever dollar".

He was a tycoon, industrialist, former governor and founder of Stanford University. He migrated from New York to California during the Gold rush, becoming the governor. He was president of the Southern Pacific Railroad. He had a lot of power in the region due to being president of S.P.R and as well Central Pacific. Stanford has a huge impact on the California with the railroads as well of the college he founded here.
