The activities planned for the students were well thought through and the students were engaged, especially by the competitive element of seeing which group could first complete the drawing.

Some suggestions 1) It would be difficult for the teacher alone to "validate" the individual group responses. Perhaps it could be just one drawing to be completed, contributed by the various groups (so there is also collaboration as a class besides collaboration within the group). 2) Quite a "waste" that the various group responses were not shared with the rest of the class as it could potentially be a very strong learning opportunity.

3) As the model by the teacher on the board was noun-verb-description, and the tr did not allow use of her name or the pronoun, then some groups were starting their sentences with determiners which goes counter to the suggested sentence structure. On the whole, it was an engaging lesson!

The activities had been carried out as planned. Overall, I am quite pleased with the lesson development. I had introduced new oral genres and leveraged on the written texts to bring in the concept of subject-verb agreement. I had asked open and closed-ended questions to elicit knowledge about the concepts and stimulate higher-order thinking. I will further ascertain their grasp of the concepts from their work shown in the worksheets later. The students were not as forthcoming as usual. Perhaps, they were conscious of having visitors around. Another plausible reason could be that the questions needed to be unpacked further and more wait time to be given. Be that as it may, various students had the opportunity of providing ideas to move the class discussion forward. The group activity was largely successful. One particular group had some difficulty constructing sentences within the allotted time. This group has three high-support students among them, which may have accounted for their lack of productivity.
