Frankenstein is a tragic hero because he had a tragic death that happened because of himself. Both of the books show this by talking about how he was dying and the monster was still alive, as well as saying he was actuated by selfish motives. However, I prefer the graphic novel more because the pictures help you to visualize what is happening.

The conflict in this story is the monster killing Elizabeth. Even though both of them tell the same event, the graphic novel shows Frankenstein's face and you can get a deeper understanding. As to what he is feeling as his wife dies and how devastating this is. Elizabeth's broken necklace also shows that she was killed by strangulation which wasn't stated in the passage.

You can tell that in both stories Frankenstein's monsters feel guilty for killing Henry and William. But he makes it understandable because he just wanted to be loved and Frankenstein took that away from him by killing the second monster. I prefer the graphic novel because of the facial expression expressed by the monster because it enhances what he is feeling as he explains himself.
