Each school can also decide any additional activities or initiatives they wish to implement to amplify this goal. The idea however is that the day highlights children's ability to combat climate change and amplify their innovative solutions.

For example:
-Schools could have an art competition where students display what is occurring with climate change and some of the dangers
-Zero waste day where schools are not going to sell single use items. Students will also not be allowed to use trash bins to represent how the planet has no trash bin.
-Donate food waste from the cafeteria or have meat free Mondays in order to highlight ways to reduce our carbon footprints
-Design competition where students can create ways to reduce our impact on the planet - highlights children's power to be creative, innovative, and make change in their communities
-Adding posters around the school environment about the importance of saving water inside bathrooms, and other key actions (these posters could also be designed by students)
-Create a list of actions that families can do outside of school to ensure that the learning continues outside of the classroom and translates into changing our habits
-Highlight and advertise the school's actions on WCD through social media posts created/designed by the students
