Group 2: parent training- survey to find out the best time ELL training was best done at 10am on a weekday- we need to decide when this will be done
mentoring from other parents/families- show them the ropes as to what to expect, what to ask
Who: having a board that is set, with programs, buildings, educators and community members; have groups at each school that will recruit in the families so the needs of the building are met.
Group 3: times are an issue for our families; build a community for the families; have a kick off to have families come together to get them in; have things for the kids to do during the time; breakout sessions; feedback from families; This committee can spearhead this; transitions are difficult and the families can make it easier for each other;

group 2: evidence based practices- how are we getting training to all staff for technology (AAC); videos in one place; videos in google world?; we need more training; document that could get you general information to have access in the future when needed- not just at the start of the year example: seizure training;
Group 3: Additional intentional day at the start of the year that is facilitated by special education, but for all staff; allow teachers and paras at least 1/2 day to get training they need to work with students day one; para training throughout the year; MAB training prior to school starting vs trying to find subs- look at summer training
Every person in the district needs trained on our students!
