Jokes aside, although I never really got to say it to you personally, I want to thank you for all the things you've done for the school. Being a Priest need prepare homily everyday, and you still have energy to be principal? I go hear teacher talk already want go home already. Your passion and work ethic really is inspiring.

Dear Fr Francis,

Christ is taking you many places and I wish you safe travels on your journey. Leading the school has definitely taken a toll on you so hopefully this new chapter will renew your spirits.

Thank you for looking out for us though at times it meant that you had to be firm and "the bad guy". You are definitely the tallest person I've met in real life so I hope that will help you remember to keep you head high during tough times.

Although your impression of me is not the most accurate, being remembered as active and well-spoken is not bad either. Likewise, your service and image as an educator will stay with us as we grow. Until we meet again, I hope the people you've crossed paths with at SJPS will remain a fond memory or lesson learnt in your heart.

After such a long time in SJPS, my friends and I recall you fondly as a cantankerous old goat walking around with a totebag hissing sibilant S's. Not to mention the iconic "phones are evil" and "ssSpEAKiNg mANdArIN?". Truly, a meme-able and sticker-worthy icon I cherish.

Jokes aside, make us proud and may you live a century longer. Ora et Labora.

You were the principal who allowed me to challenge myself and push myself to the limits by allowing me to go straight to F2A. Your word inspired many such as me to be a great member of society. It disheartens me that you would have to leave but that is what God has called you to do. All I can say is that I, and all my friends, are sad about your leaving news, and that we wish you a great and prosperous life in Singapore.

For now, I can only provide you with a wise Japanese proverb:

It's really an honor for you to be our principal!!!! Although we don't get the chance to meet so often in school these 2 years, I just would love to express my special thanks for all your effort and hard work for the past 9 years. I truly miss attending the daily Masses which used to be held every 6.30 am !!!! I learn so much from you, and throughout these years, it's undeniable that you have motivated me to be a more diligent, optimistic and caring person.
