We biked down a dark path until we turned around. At an intersection, a car drove by and one girl waved and yelled to it. This shows the beginning of our adventure and how we ended up with the crisis we did.

Sophie suggested we go for a bike ride and go out of their “village” of the neighborhood. This shows what got us into our adventure.

London’s mom assures us that we will be careful and aware of where we are and our surroundings. This shows a mentor - like character giving us advice for our adventure.

Departure

We get enough bikes and begin our ride through the neighborhood. This shows us leaving London’s house (the ordinary world) and heading into our adventure.

Approach

We go straight from the intersection but stop because one girl is scared and doesn’t want to go any farther. The same car seen at the intersection is seen driving by again. We all stop to decide what we are going to do as the same car drives by for the third time and we realize it is circling. This shows the events leading up to the crisis and why the crisis began.

Crisis

We realize this is our window to go before the car circles back again, and we start racing back, me in front. As we turn onto London’s house’s street, there is a car following close behind the girls in the back, but we all get back home. This shows the main event and most adrenalin rushing moment of the adventure.

Result

Everyone gathers in the driveway and now understand the dangers at night and of other people. This shows the knowledge attained by the crisis.

Return

We get into London’s house and look out the windows, watching for any passing car in the cul-de-sac. There were none. This shows our return back to our original place with our new knowledge.

New Life

As we settle down in London’s room, we talk about our encounter and list the things that could have happened but didn’t. This shows us back to our original spot and doing our regular birthday activities, just with a story to tell.
