Gallery Walk Reflections & Questions by Haunie's Escapades

1. One Strategy to Try: Which engagement strategy stood out to you as practical and meaningful? Write down one strategy that you could realistically implement in your classroom next week. Be specific about how you envision using it with your students. 2. One Question to Explore: As you think about application, what is one question you still have? This could be about adapting the strategy for your subject area, differentiating for diverse learners, or managing the logistics of using it in a virtual or in-person setting.

I like the rotation timing system as steps. It helps to have a slide so students that come in late or finish a step have the full process laid out visually. This model works well with a google maps exploration activity. By including more share time in structured way I am hoping to get students to start sharing what they found not just with me but their peers.

One Question I have is the best method for paring or grouping for the sharing. With some inactive students and low participation ones it can be a challenge. I am thinking bigger groups to facilitate more sharing?

I found the "Think, Pair, and Share", as well as the "Table Station/Rotations" strategies, really interested and find that it is a really great way to keep up attention spans preventing cognitive fatigue, but as well as being able to collaborate and share different ideas amongst other peers. A question I have is, if there are other ideas on how to utilize the "Collaborative/Problem-Solving" strategy?

Think/Pair/Share could be a good tool for getting students to collaborate on overlapping exercise interests.

My question would be about implementation in the virtual setting. Standing in the middle of a physical classroom makes so many collaboration tools doable to participate in as well as to manage. Jumping from viewing one table then the next is not really set up in that same format.
