European Day of Languages was celebrated at our school with all our English, French, Portuguese and Spanish colleagues from 4th to 9th grade. We wrote positive messages and kindness words in paper speech bubbles and all together created a mural, where we also placed the flags of the languages we study at our school. Some of our colleagues who communicate in Portuguese Sign Language and other languages of different nationalities who study at our school also participated. We also created an online game using Kahoot about European Union Flags. The International Peace Day was celebrated in our class so we talked, read and sang about peace. After that we expanded the topic in European Languages Day, so we found and wrote words from all over the world that come to mind when we think about peace. In the end we draw some flags from all over the world. It was a nice project!!!

We,the Green Greek Reusers from the Greek P4/5 class of the European school of Munich together,each one an a significant member of a team ,recycle,reduce and reuse and we are ready to take off with our handmade rocket 🚀.
We also played together due to the European week of sports,children from Spain 🇪🇸 and 🇬🇷 and we shared dances and videos in different languages.

European Day of Languages was celebrated in our school. In our class we talked about the languages similarities and differences. And we decided to create a board with Atatürk's famous universal quote 'Yurtta barış, Dünyada barış- Peace at home, Peace in the world' in different languages.

The European day of languages was celebrated in the 4th primary school of Nafplio. Various in-class activities took place. The students pronounced the word "friend" in different European languages. Our younger students enjoyed and learned by drawing the flags of Europe. Moreover, European flags were introduced to the students with the implementation of AR -augmented reality applications while they observed them waving. Finally, the material sent by the Greek organization ECML was used in all activities.

The European Day of Languages is a celebration of the amazing number and variety of languages spoken across Europe. Schools and organisations mark the event every year with a European languages day to promote language learning and to celebrate the linguistic and cultural diversity of Europe.

The European Day of Languages is celebrated annually on the 26th of September.

Students from 8th Primary School of Thebes celebrated this big event. We explained the aims and history of the European Day of Languages and played fun quizzes on key information about the event, different languages, and flags. We talked about the importance of learning a foreign language. We learned about 'loanwords' which appear in different languages, and thought about ways to identify meaning.

We decided to create a lovely poster featuring the word 'talk to me!' written in a number of different European languages. We also created a video using Canva about the importance of learning foreign languages. Here is the link: https://youtu.be/CsP9swJ1epg?feature=shared

We enjoyed to discover other languages all around the european world.The European Day of Languages remind us that learning a language is a step towards openness and respect for other cultures. So on the 26th of September celebrates the linguistic and cultural diversity in Europe with events that showcase cultural heritage such as poetry readings, storytelling, music and art exhibitions.
