I learned how to have communication skills. My previous two-year face-to-face experience down to this two-year screen-to-screen era has undoubtedly built the foundation of what I am to become in the future. I entered Ateneo de Davao with past skills, knowledge, and values that I  academically, socially, and spiritually gained in my previous schools. Upon looking back and assessing my four-year journey in AdDU, I realized that quite a few things added up to my prior inventory of gifts. However, among all these gifts, I valued my decision-making, leadership skills, prayer conviction, accounting knowledge, sensitivity towards diversity, bible reading, resiliency, kindness, and peace. Academically speaking, I wouldn't have survived this far if it wasn't because of the tough choices I made. Learning accountancy has always been a struggle for me. I've always encountered failures in this field, but it also helped me become resilient and strong. On the social aspect, AdDU has also become my training ground in leading and working with people. I got to see the different faces and walks of life. It made me aware of how diverse our society is and how it calls for us to be kinder towards each other. Lastly, my spiritual aspect has furthermore been honed by this institution. Indeed the toughness of my course made me more religious and prayerful.

I am surprised that a Catholic school accepts and recognizes the existence of the LGBT community inside the campus. I learned that there is justice and love for everybody. No matter what your gender is, as long as you have the heart for others, I think you deserve to be in Ateneo. It was my first time being socially recognized in the community throughout my academic journey. I've been through a lot of criticism and discrimination, but I never question my worth as a person. 
I believe advocating for justice to achieve the common good is essential. I need to stand for what is right and good for the community. I think these gifts will accumulate that I can share to inspire others. We are different, unique, and most understanding being in the world. I hope that all of us will see the beauty of these people, reflect on their stories, and set them as inspiration. 
I know that my journey is not that easy. I had to be strong and determined at all times because if I let them conquer my weaknesses, I'd lose.
