Penelope has this rare medical condition that allows her to  see things that others can't see, sometimes it isn't actually using her eyes. She is the protagonists.

Event # (Climax):When Theo was in bed he comes up with a resolution that would change the way he lived.
Event #: He gets to the Smithy the next day and starts singing a song that he came up with and soon he started a movement when everyone joined in. 
Event #:Theo was punished, then the blacksmiths were also punished because they started singing.

It is basically living without a life. You could only live if you get to share your opinions, if you get to choose what you do everyday.
