What do I see - One of my KHDA obseravation did not go well as planned , students in my class were not behaving well , so my objective for the day was not met/ completed.
stage 2 : I did not plan their seating arrangement well and all of them wanted chance to say something in front of the observer which was not possible in that 40 min class to allow everyone to speak . 
My lesson was planned very well but it did not meet the expectations of the observer as the objective was not completed in that class.

Stage 1: Students were struggling to understand the value of each digit even after explaining with help of place value kit and interactive presentation.
Stage 2: Analyse the problem.
I went back to my lesson plan and realized that task was not according to their levels and more hands of activity was needed to explain the concept. To do mid plenary in between my teaching time. This will help me to understand my students learning more better and how they are processing.
Stage 3 : Action
I prepared different place value activities and worksheets for higher, medium and low level ability students. I had to work on my differentiation skills strategy. My goal was to succeed in passing an interview to be an ESL teacher. As part of the interview I had to teach 20 minutes of a class, it was my first time to ever teach. I was feeling extremely nervous and apprehensive about the situation. I was very organised and prepared well for the interview and the feedback I received showed that this was a factor that went well. What went poorly is that I let my nerves get the better of me and I wasn't able to perform as well as I could have.

So what?
I learnt that I had the correct skill set as I got the job.  But I need to make sure that I believe in myself and my abilities. I shouldn't have let my nerves take over and not be able to perform to my full capacity.
The knowledge that could have informed me is to ask for experience from other teachers on how they dealt with the situation of having their first class. An important thing to take from the whole situation is that everyone has room for development.

Now what?
After the interview there were many ways that I could improve my knowledge. After receiving notice of getting the job I was asked by the manager to come in to observe some of the teachers prior to starting teaching myself. I found this really helpful as I was able to see and make notes on how the teachers were and cherry pick things to take to develop my practical teaching skills. I also spoke to the other teachers and asked them for recommendations on how to calm my nerves, improve my teaching and make my teaching the best experience for the students. I also researched online different methods to help improve my teaching.

The teaching was different. Just last week I had a lesson with the year 6 students. I was using the Nearpod app for the first time. The students used different names to sign in. Since im not a tech savvy . I wasn't able to figure out what was going on. They used names like Hacker. And messages like ...I am going to hack your computer. since i  teach performing arts , we usually have physical lessons. now since the lockdown ,its different. I have an experience of 16 years but I could not handle the situation really well, so I passed it on to my superiors. And still waiting for a solution. this happened last week.

So what: Whether to focus on Student behavior and discipline or learning .
I haven't faced any situation like this before.
online learning platform is not what I opted for.

Now what? I will meet with the IT person and compared the attendance list with the  nearpod sign in list. And findout who the students were. 
meet with the superiors and the school counsellor . Since its a sensitive issue . I will sought help from experienced personnel. What?- During my Master's degree, I attended an international conference and that was my first seminar experience. Though I was very nervous, I was confident about the topic I chose.

So what? The SOPs given by WHO and them implemented by countries and governments around the world. Using masks, working online etc.
What next? Improving on practices to improve the results of social distancing and precautionary measures taken by people, for instance avoiding physical contact. With more research and vaccine in process we will have control over this pandemic in the near future.

I am a STEM teacher and one of the common issues in my Robotics classes is that kids don't understand some things the way I want them to. There is a lack of interest sometimes.

Analysis:
I have usually realized that kids are mostly interested in the practical learning rather than the theory. They are not interested in learning the theoretical terms and concepts of robotics, they just want to do it practically and be over with it.

Think & Act:
