Sustainable goal I chose to work towards was No Hunger. I planned to help homeless people in need of food. This is such a problem because there are over 550,000 homeless people in the U.S. and over 40,000 of those are veterans. Lots of people just assume homeless people are bums and therefore refuse to give a helping hand. Now more than ever this is a problem due to corona. I’ve seen familys sitting on curbs (yes in Schaumburg) a with signs saying “anything helps”. Many of these bags included face masks and winter gear such as gloves or hats as well. I then went out in search of homeless people and gave them one or multiple of these bags.
