In semester One, we were asked to join an ensemble and as a singer I decided to join the University of Surrey Choir. I was excited to try some classical singing as I'm used to singing Pop music. I though it would be a good addition to my vocals skills. I pushed myself to keep going every Wednesday evening even though it was very inconvenient for me. I knew it would be a challenge but thought I could put some of the skills I already had to practice so I placed myself in the soprano part as I am more of a mezzo-soprano than an alto.

Unfortunately, I decided not to carry on with the ensemble as it wasn't my style and I found it very hard to sing hymns in latin.

I am now part of Musical Theatre society and have enjoyed my time there so far.
