  • Used a smaller pointed brush with dark blue diluted with water to refine details
  • Used small flat brush for hair - began with darkest colors and worked lighter
  • Highlighted background colors and incorporated more depth with lighter colors
  • Photographed painting and imported into PicsArt, used different filter settings and "chopped" filter under distortion to create final image

  • Found reference photo online of teddy bear, inverted it and changed its colors/contrast in edits (see sketchbook column for original reference photos)

  • Worked in sections. Started with the head, shaded in the whole thing grey. Then added light highlights, strongest highlights, and darkened some areas such as the ears
  • Completed the above process for the entire body
  • Decided that the bear needed a background - searched up photos of a bookshelf, wood grain, and books and sketched out background

    Reflection: I realized when I draw faces I tend to lean toward drawing the same features.
