One reason that animals should not be used for testing is alternative testing methods can be used. For example, “In vitro (in glass) testing, can produce more relevant results than animal testing because human cells can be used.” This shows that not only are there other methods to use, but there are more reliable ways for testing. Scientists should do all they can to ensure the safety of the animals and the humans of this world. Also, “Artificial human skin is made from sheets of human skin cells grown in test tubes or plastic wells and can produce more useful results than testing chemicals on animal skin.” This proves that not only can we test products on humans, but we can test it on them using samples of skin rather than a whole human. This reduces the amount of animals dying from testing and gives a way for people to test out their products on human samples. In summary, animals should not be used for testing because there are alternative ways for products.

One reason that video games cause violence is because they decrease empathy.
In the text it states”Both the American Psychological Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics take a firm stance against children and teens playing violent video games¨. This shows that Doctors and psychological doctors both agree that video games are bad for your mental health. Another reason would be ¨ In Munich,Germany, an 18 year old gunman who killed nine people in July 2016 was a fan of first-person video games, according to reports. This detail led many to worry that video games may be negatively affecting their own children¨. This basically means that even parents agree that video games incourage bad behavior. Video games do cause violence because they decrease empathy in younger kids that still do not know right from wrong yet. Do you want people to make murders out out of your children?

One reason that we should not do animal testing is that it can harm the animals. For instance,”Animals used in experiments are commonly subjected to force feeding, forced inhalation, food and water deprivement, prolonged periods of physical restraint, inflictions of burns and other wounds.”

This means that animals are being tortured and being put through these experiments and some of the animals die because it doesn’t work. Doing these deadly experiments can cause some animals to become extinct. Another example is that, “The Draize eye test, used by cosmetics companies to evaluate irritation caused by shampoos and other products, involves rabbits being incapitated in stocks with their eyelids held open by clips, sometimes for multiple days,so they cannot blink away the product being tested.”This shows that many animals may not survive because they are doing experiments on these animals . Holding anybody's or anything’s eyes open would burn.In the end ,animals can be harmed in these testings.

One reason why fine arts shouldn't be cut from schools is that music creates better self confidence. The text states that, “Musical education is also likely to develop better communication for students.” when students have better communication, they feel like they have people who has the same interest as them. It makes it easier to make friends rather than having a harder time make friends with someone who doesn't share the same interests as you. When you have better communication, you can make more friends with the same interests as you.

College degree

One reason that people should go to college is that more and more jobs require a college degree for work. For example, “During the recession between Dec. 2007 and Jan. 2010, jobs requiring college degrees grew by 187,000, while jobs requiring college or an associate’s degree fell by 1.75 million and jobs requiring a high school or less fell by 5.6 million” This reveals if you look at the numbers there is a staggering amount of jobs that require college degrees. Without work, people may result to stealing to get paid and to get back on their feet. But stealing could happen and that's a wrong thing to do. For another example, “In Jan. 2017, the unemployment rate for college graduates aged 25 and over with a bachelor's degree was 2.5%, compared to 3.8% for those with some college or associate's degrees, 5.3% for high school graduates, and 7.7% for high school dropouts”.More and more people without a college degree are out of work and are looking desperately for jobs. It does say in the text that “5.3% of high school graduates are out of work plus, the 7.7% of high school dropouts that are out of work.” If these people have families how are they gonna pay for food and shelter. The average income for high school dropouts are $36,424 more than the average income for people with a bachelor degree. These people will likely go into poverty. To conclude, more and more jobs are require college degrees.

One reason animals shouldn’t be used in experiments is that animals do not reliably predicts the results in humans. According to the text, “94% of drugs that pass animal tests fail in human clinical trials.” This shows that a huge percentage of tests that work on animals don't end up working on humans. It is just a waste of animal life because the tests don’t really work. In the text it states, “According to neurologist Aysha Akhtar, MD, MPH, over 100 stroke drugs that were effective when tested on animals have failed in humans.” This proves that animals are different. If a medicine works on a rat, that doesn't mean it is going to work on a human. Even if you are testing something as simple as a new medicine for the common cold and it works on a monkey, it could easily make humans more sick. To wrap things up, animals tests don’t anticipate what will happen when used on a human for the first time.

In homework there is a lack of evidence that helps younger students. According to the text… “Fourth grade students who did no homework got roughly the same score on the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) math exam as those who did 30 minutes of homework a night.” This explains that students are wasting their time of doing homework and even more there grades are dropping. Another example from the text is… “We want them to enjoy their families. We want them to go to soccer practice or football practice, and we want them to go to bed. And that’s it.” This demonstrates that after school kids go right to practice and stay for an hour and a half and they have to stay up late instead of just going to bed. From this evidence it is clear that there is a lack of evidence that homework actually helps kids.

Vaccines save children and adults lives. For example, “The Centers for Disease Control estimated that 732,000 American children were saved from death and 322 million cases of childhood illnesses”. This shows that children are dying from diseases everyday, when they could of been getting vaccinated. For instance, according to the “United Nations Foundation partner organization, vaccines save 2.5 million children from preventable diseases every year, which equates to roughly 285 children saved every hour”. This also shows that everyone across the world can be saved from a vaccine. It is clear that vaccines can save children and adults lives.

One reason why people should not become vegetarians is because eating meat is a natural part of the life cycle. For instance in the article it states “Every organism on earth dies or is killed, at some point, so others organisms can live.“ this tells me that no matter how much you try to not kill animals by being a vegetarian you will eventually because if you try to collect crops with like a tractor for example than you would might end up killing a small animal that lives in the field.Another example is According to a 2003 study by Steven Davis at Oregon State University, about six animals per acre, or 52-77% of the animals (such as birds, mice, and rabbits) that live in agricultural crop fields, are killed during harvest.” this means that vegetarians are still killing harmless animals just as non-vegetarians do.This proves that why eating meat is a natural part of life.

One reason people should get a college education is because college graduates make more money. One example is “The average college graduate makes $570,000 more than the average high school graduate over a lifetime.” It is clear to notice that when someone goes to college, they make more money than the average high school graduate. Another reason is “In 2016, the average income for people 25 years old and older with a high school diploma was $35,615, while the income for those with a bachelor's degree was $65,482, and $92,525 and above for those with advanced degrees.” The authors point is that people that go to college make more money and that people that go to college will most likely have more money so for instance they can use the money to invest or something. Overall when people go to college they make more money.

Refusing to stand for the national anthem is appropriate and justified. For example, Colin Kapernick said "I'm not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.” Colin Kaepernick is trying to say that why should colored people stand for something when they’re getting treated differently. Another quote is, “ there are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder." This shows that why should people stand up for a flag when there’s people getting killed on the streets when their supposed to be helping people, not letting people get killed. This proves that people shouldn’t stand for a flag when people are getting killed and being oppressed in the streets.
