In this unit I really enjoyed reading the book “ Zlatas diary”. I enjoyed it because I could understand how people in the holocaust suffer and how they overcome their fears. I like to read diaries a lot and autobiographies where authors talk about themselves. It helps me get a better understanding about the writter. Something we could have done differently would be converting each of the entries to stories telling everyone on how people struggle during these time.

There could have been more examples for diary entries for I was unclear with what they include and what to write in them.

I found engaging the reader of my diary during the climax of my story hard. I also didn’t know how to build the story up with suspense so that the reader is glued to the story. I overcame this challenge by learning the freytags pyramid and reading online examples of stories.

I personally found it hard to learn this skill and I learnt that it takes me a long time to learn anything properly.
