In 1871 he founded his first company to sell building materials.The following year he married Bertha Ringer with whom he had five children.In 1833 he started to building the industrial engines in Mannhein. He installed one engines with 0,75 horsespower and 958 cm3. He drove through the city in 1885. It is called ''Benz Patent-Motorwagen'' and now is in german museum(Deutsches Museum) in Munich.

Benz's first four-wheeled vehicle was manufactured in 1893, the Benz Victoria, and the following year the Benz Velo, which was the base model 1895 the first trucks. In 1899 came the first racing car, which was the source of numerous successes.
