When I was a child, I often played with my father and cousin. But when my family moved to Minglanilla, Cebu, I remember not being very outgoing. A boy from the neighborhood would often come to our house, asking me to play, even though I usually ignored him. Still, he never gave up and over time, we became friends.

Unfortunately, I no longer remember his name. After we moved back to Tuburan, we lost contact. But he was my very first childhood friend, and I’ll always remember how our friendship began.

I completed both my Junior High School and Senior High School at Tuburan National High School. For my elementary years, I started kindergarten and half of Grade 1 at Calajo-an Elementary School before transferring to Sumon Elementary School, where I continued the rest of my elementary education.

Throughout my educational journey, I’ve learned so much not just in academics, but also in discipline, perseverance, and personal growth.

I'm also interested in learning how to play the guitar. Unfortunately, I don’t have one yet, but I hope to get one soon so I can finally start learning.

On June 9, 2025, I received a phone call asking if I was still interested in the scholarship. At first, I thought it was a prank, I had just woken up, and seeing the email caught me completely off guard. I called back, unsure if it was real. I honestly thought I hadn’t made it again.

But then, on my birthday, I received another email confirming that I was officially accepted as a scholar. I was overwhelmed with joy. It felt like a meaningful reward for my persistence and determination, and I’m truly proud to be part of this program.

Instead of overthinking, I try to flow with life, trusting that every experience, good or bad, has meaning. When I do something, I give it my full attention. When I’m with someone, I choose to truly be with them. No distractions. No rush. Just presence.
