Once I had the images collected and sorted in a composition which I liked, I wanted to include words/a title which told the viewer how these pictures relate.

I wanted to focus on my nostalgia which for many wold be very recent as it would be set in the early 2000s. 

I quickly realised how trendy it was to reflect and bring back trends from the 80s and 70s, so I wanted to replicate the same feeling but for the time I am focusing on. I want people who experienced the 2000s as teenagers to look at my work and be reminded of things they may have forgotten or feel nostalgic by my work. So by mind mapping I wanted to focus on how I can replicate this. I looked at:
- Artists
- Mediums
- Presentation
- Research of the time and its trends

I made magazine covers, to further feed into my project theme presentation, by collecting photos as well as searching up more specific ones all from magazines and such formats then putting the these elements together. The artists i was inspired by where:

- Laszló Moholy- Nagy

Once I was finished with the intial research of these amazing artists, I went back into my three outcomes and fruther developed on them. One thing I wanted to do was some repetition because the artists that I studied used it a lot to create some form of a feeling or a meaning to it and I wanted to do the same. What I wanted to replicate was the effect that DVDs would give when it was slightly scratched or damaged and the screen would ripple because of it. Although the outcomes looked good in my opinion I realised that it is too busy for a front cover of a magazine. One of these artists were @Cha._cha._ from instagram. Her style was something that I really wanted to study as her manipulation of anatomy was very interesting to me. I made a few outcomes of body studies so when I make a full out come it will look as accurate to her style as possible.

I also wanted to create some work that i can later utalise in some way for my final outcome.

I made an expression sheet to study how I can draw and exagerate as well as translate an emotion into a physical look.

Next week I plan to start thinking of my final outcome and organize the rest of the weeks I have left. This way I know exactly what to do and when.

This week I focused on the background and overall layout of magazines, regrencing many teen magazines from the early 2000s.

The intention of my magazine is to entertain younger and millennial people by making a fun and colourful teen fashion magazine. The same kind you would see on a store shelf before check out.

This week I have made multiple outcomes of which I had to re-do, such as; the title, page backgrounds, magazine cover thumbnail. For the title and the page backgrounds I have found that I havemade them look too busy so I simplified the backgrounds significantly. As for the title I changed the intire style to this Y2K style. I am very happy with the outcome. This week I have also composed together the magazine pages, I initially was hoping to work by using InDesign but I just could not grasp it. In the end I used photoshop to compose it. I have to say using InDesign still taught me a lot, I think if I had enough time to experiment with it before hand I could have done it.
