He believes to just to your job and try to make all races happy.          <description><![CDATA[<div>W. E. B. DuBois clearly did not agree with Booker T. Washington ideas. But they both wanted one thing. That was they both wanted equality between black and whites. Although they had different views on the best way to achieve equality. Washington wanted to act more peacefully unify the two races which is a more in the long term. W. E. B. DuBois on the other hand wanted to make a stand and there is no need to wait for the freedom.</div>]]></description>

He was very straightforward and you knew exactly what he wanted he would do anything he had to do to make it happen. He didn't want to wait around for blacks to have equality.</div>]]></description>

Washington displays this continuously which is why I believe he is a progressive. He begins&nbsp; by making the point that a third of the population in the South was made up of blacks and that "no enterprise seeking the material, civil, or moral welfare of this section (the South) can disregard this element of our population and reach the highest success." There must be a fair inclusion of everyone.</div>]]></description>
