We could help the early years by going down to see them (or they come up to us) and do activities with them. For secondary, we could do activities with them as well as them showing us around the school, since we're going next year. Also for secondary, we could do activities to get to know the teachers better. We should keep doing what we do every year, how we (not during school) have food stalls around the school for each country that we have here a DBIS. We could also maybe have a DBIS logo design competition including a lot of flags in it. Maybe it could be the same logo but instead of blue, it could different flags on it. To add on, every body could gather in the globe and sing their countries's national anthem (if they know it). Furthermore, we could come up with an international day song that we sing everyday on international day. Another thing is that we could have a photo where all the kids are in their country groups like we did for the olympic's day. I'd like to know more about some countries. It is kind of like for example: German day, America day, Australia day and so on. For International day I think we should dress up in our own country colours and at class Y5 and Y6 should work with their buddy's, Y2 go with Y7, Y3 go with Y8, Y4 go with Y9 and Y10 go with Y11. When we find our year group we go to some classrooms and learn and share ideas and about their own country and other countries. I think this is a great opportunity for everybody because the students get to share their cultures. And at the end we could all meet up and tell everybody what we have learnt! And we could also put food stands all over the school and try some different food. And for homework there could be a design competition for the DBIS Logo for International day. And we could also put International flags all over the school! I think our international day/week should have a theme. My idea would be to learn about different countries traditions.
I feel like we should do some activities for example a country questionnaire, we could learn about country food and sports.
I feel like we should mix up all year groups into a mixed year group that way we get to know different thoughts of other people from different ages.
