I would love to work with law enforcement on the plans and have them help us train staff.

Main Point Person

How can we have a main point person within our district that works with each building to standardize their emergency situation protocols. Each building will look different, but having the same language and procedures and one person who has a hand in all of them to help bring together ideas.

Training early in the year would be great. It would also be wonderful if we could have month by month updates or safety tips woven into district communications such as the Chip Chirp and building updates. That way the training will not be a one and done....we can educate throughout the year.

Is there a way to look at how we rehearse and practice using this plan? Although we conduct monthly fire drills, events that involve the implementation of this magnitude are much more complex and we really do not rehearse them independently or collectively. Understand they can disrupt and take time away from our day, but ultimately can lead to a much better outcome.
